Mission
Our mission is to create a network for women affected by cancer, providing a variety of fitness activities, education and support while taking an active role in their well-being.

We are extremely excited about our extensive programming and activities for 2008.  For more information, please read our State of the Union.

History
Team Survivor NYC (TSNYC) formed in August 2006, and is an affiliate of the National Association of Team Survivor (NATS). TSNYC provides free or low cost fitness activities and health education programs for women affected by cancer. Our fun and supportive programs offer women the opportunity to reclaim their fitness, gain a sense of accomplishment, build a social support system and achieve renewed comfort with their bodies and their health.

NATS is a nonprofit organization founded in 1995 as a grassroots program offshoot of the DanskinĀ® Women`s Triathlon Series to provide fitness opportunities for women cancer survivors to train for and participate in their first triathlon. Today, NATS is an umbrella organization that oversees the formation and development of local Team Survivor affiliates that foster and promote exercise opportunities for women affected by cancer. TSNYC is one of over 20 affiliates across the country. With more than 3,600 members nationwide, NATS provides resources and guidance to develop programs and to communicate the mission within local markets.

The National Association of Team Survivor is organized as a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) corporation.
